Out of Track……A Wiseman and A Sophist

A Sophist approached one of the Wise Man of ancient Greece and thought to puzzle him with the most perplexing questions, but the Sage of Miletus was equal to the test for he replied to them all, without the least hesitation yet with the utmost exactitude.
Sophist: What is the oldest of all things?
Wise Man: “God”, because He has always existed.
Sophist: What is the most beautiful of all things?
Wise Man: “the Universe”, because it is the work of GOD.
Sophist: What is the greatest of all things?
Wise Man: “Space” because it contains all that has been created.
Sophist: What is the most constant of all things?
Wise Man: “HOPE”, because it still remains with the man, after he has lost everything.
Sophist: What is the best of all things?
Wise Man: “VIRTUE”, because without it, nothing good.
Sophist: What is the quickest of all things?
Wise Man: “THOUGHT” because, in less than a minute it can fly to the end of the universe.
Sophist: What is the strongest of all things?
Wise Man: “NECESSITY”, which makes man, faces all the dangers of life.
Sophist: What is the easiest of all things?
Wise Man: “TO GIVE ADVICE”
Sophist: What is the most difficult of all things?
And the Wise Man: replied: “TO KNOW THYSELF!”
